Coming on july 15!
And thanks for nothing!
Toh loo kah paint GOOD.
Came across this Furby plush, and I'm pretty sure it's real, but I've searched the wiki and can't find anything about it. Maybe I'm just not searching for the right things. Does anyone know anything about this?
Came across some 'Furbys' for sale, and I'm pretty confident they're fake, but they look super similar to the ordinary 90s Furbys
I believe this may be: Furbish (Furby Fake) | Official Furby Wiki | Fandom
This one was interesting to me because it had been tagged with TONY and Tiger, but I don't recognize this design. The tinsel in its fur reminded me of Angel Furby | Official Furby Wiki | Fandom. However, the tinsel in this image is rainbow and has green eyes.
I wasn't 100% sure if this was real or a fake of the Millennium Furby V1 | Official Furby Wiki | Fandom, but I noticed the faceplate was a lot more yellow than the other Millennium Furbys that I've seen (I'm not sure if it's maybe because of age).
This looks a lot like Rooster Furby | Official Furby Wiki | Fandom, and I can't see a lot of flaws, which would lead me to believe it was fake.
Lastly, this Furby may or may not be Skunk Furby | Official Furby Wiki | Fandom
It looks pretty identical; however, the feet on this Furby seem to be like circles rather than paws because the thread has come undone.
Note: I don't know a lot about identifying fake furbys, but upon seeing a 'furbish (?)' and the white and rainbow tinsel furby, I became curious, especially considering how well made they look.
How is it possible to identify fake furbys from real furbys that TOMY sold? Do they go under the same name of 'Furby'? I'm concerned because I've been interested in purchasing furbys from a Japanese website which they all are manufactured under TOMY, and I've heard TOMY has contributed to making fakes. Maybe I'm just overthinking, but I don't want to waste money on a rip off Furby.
Today, I performed several continuity tests on tilt sensors using Caig DeOxit D5 and achieved much better results compared to cleaning alone.
I did have one failure, but oxidation on the ball bearing was clearly visible.
Aside from that, the pass rate has been perfect.
DeOxit D5 is expensive, but in the long run, it's more cost effective than replacing parts to fix MSA. It is also very handy for cleaning battery contacts.
Here is my mod of a 1998 crossed with a 2012 Furby
She is fully functional, apart from her ears which are a little to heavy and do not move perfectly. (I may have to put some black 1998 ears on her.)
I’m new here and I have found out about this wiki yesterday,
I have 2 1998 Furby, 2 furby booms, 2 2023 furbys,
5 of the wave 1 furblets (ooh-koo, ray-vee, hip-hop, pix-Elle, mello-nee).
Hey im Zak and i love furbys!! and fakes, i just wanna pop in an out to make sure facts are correct about certain furbys, and furby fakes [mainly fakes lol]!!
Here is a photo of my furbsuit [tart marmalade tangerine] and my beautiful furby fakes [a Koby and a Kuddle me plush!!]
Saw this on ebay, does anyone know what fake this is? if it is one. they look so traumatised
All my life I've never seen one in person in the US, and on ebay they are quite expensive. In the UK they can be low prices, but cost a lot to ship to US due to extra fees, and some sellers don't allow for US shipping at all. I've searched thrifts but have never seen one in the US.
If possible, from my current finds, anything around $30 and working is alright for me, $20 and working is great, and anything lower is awesome (also taking shipping+taxes+fees into account). I usually can't even find broken ones for under $40 online. I probably wouldn't order from sketchy or unknown websites.
If anyone has anything to help me get one to the US at a good price, it would be great!
(also, i like working good quality ones best but i'd be willing to buy a cheaper crappy-ish broken one to refurbish as a project, i don't need tags or box and i would prefer no tag or box if it means higher price.) any 1998 variant.
TLDR: just the title, i can't find a good priced 1998 furby in the US. mostly looking for untagged unboxed around $30 or lower
There are greatly varying prices on Etsy. Today I got an original skunk 1998 furby I believe (my first! So happy) for £35 gbp ($45 usd) was this a gain?
Came with full set of batteries. No stains, no rips, and no damage as far as I can see. Beak and eyes work and voice is clear. Just no box.
Was looking through the old Furby website and found this graphic and saved it because I liked it. Found it in my gallery again and tried finding it so I could get more information on it. It was supposed to promote a part of the website for a cereal competition, I'm assuming the rainbow furby one. I even tried image searching it but couldn't find anything close to it. Here's the picture of it and also a zoomed in picture of the unknown furby. Looks like some sort of prototype penguin design but it could be a whole new different type of Furby design.
Edit: I'll try and see if I can find the context again by going on the website again, im sure it was the rainbow furby contest though
Edit 2: I'm looking around again, I think this is a stock furby/recolored furby. Oh well lol
Edit 3: I was able to find where the image comes from. It's found in the "voting has ended" screen. Still doesn't change much though since I'm pretty sure it's just a "stock" furby

my furby changed his name back to toh-loo kah and his voice isn't as deep
(I did that MSA trick on him)
when I was playin with my furby (skunk furby, toh-loo kah) he changed his name to may-may and his voice is now deep (RL moment)
