Hey all, sorry to be posting so much, but I have been making some discoveries with the Furby I'm currently operating on, and I wonder how prevalent the issue might be in other Furbys
The Furby in question is a 1998 70-800 model Dragon Furby from the RL factory. I mention RL just in case this has any relation to other RL Furbys, unless the component for the speaker/tickle sensor is also used in other Furbies from other factories
Instead of the Furby having a sync screw problem, as well as a problem receiving power from batteries, I've discovered that the plug to the speaker/tickle sensor has faulty/lose connections, or is defective.
After wiggling the plug and wires, it appears that there is a problem with the contacts in either the socket or the plug, and they don't seem to make enough contact at any given time. Bending the entire unit to force contact results in either the boot loop occurring, garbled speech, and sometimes, if I'm lucky and bend the unit enough, the Furby will actually try to function normally...and from that I've learned this poor thing seems to have MSA, lol
I want so badly to believe that the "Special Edition RL Furby Glitch" has something to do with this plug/the red wire being faulty, but I have nothing to go on as I do not own another RL Furby, let alone one with the glitch, nor do I even know that only RL Furbies have this specific part. I know my WT Leopard Furby that was made in Nov 1998 has completely different parts and configuration, though
