Here's my new Wolf Furby that I gave a well deserved bath! He was so crusty, smelly and icky 🤢 (like when I ran a Q-TIP across his eyelids, it was instantly black!)
Not only was it satisfying to clean, but man, now knowing that another Furby is in good hands makes me happy!
In your opinion, What's the most iconic Furby in each Generation for each Furby Era?
(eg: 1998, gen 1 would be Leopard, gen 2 would be Tiger etc).
Iconic in this case would be the one you think of when it comes to that select generation or alternatively, the one you see most around in that generation.
I'd love to hear your in-depth reasonings and thoughts too as I'm curious.

Again, listed ones aren't necessarily favourites but just ones I've seen too often or think of them when referring to the line.
It'd be more efficient (plus cost efficient) to fix them yourself as there are tons of tutorials online! eg. Speaker replacement, light sensor, frozen/dead + a full disassembly etc, all seemingly somewhat easy enough. (If you are minor and uncertain, ask for parents help.)
To answer though, I haven't really heard of anyone offering the repair service up BECAUSE it's a somewhat easy process. (plus if there were, it would've have to be 2012 in order to find someone easy). You'd be lucky if anyone comments here but your best bet is to find someone specifically. If I were you, I'd go on social media, scour for an account that has knowledge on Furby repair and ask there.

My orchid Shelby and Leopard arrived! (Plus the 2005 and 1998 clips! All I need is a 2012 clip to complete the era line).
Though I've got two more on the way, I thought I'd share the two here already. My Shelby had damaged tennies so I fixed it for him! (He surprisingly worked! Honestly thought he was out cold. Also gave him somewhat of a clean aswell.)
As far as I've read and known, Hasbro hasn't really come and confirmed straight that Furby is discontinued. Knowing Hasbro and guessing the trends nowadays, IF there is a new release of something, it'd probably just be a special throwback type Furby (aka the Retro idea Furby).
I do admittedly have a tiny speck of hope because they haven't outright discontinued it yet.
Unfortunately, I don't think that Furby will return with an entirely new era within all its glitz and glamour. I have this belief because the past few eras of Furby wasn't as ungodly popular as the 1998 fad was. The 2005 emotos flopped horridly, and though they returned with the decently-popular 2012, that alone still wasn't even as close as 1998 sales and as memorable.
It's clear that Furby (now 24 years old!) has had its run, and now (majority outside of the Furby lovers/fandom) just see it as nostalgic, childhood, 'of-it's-time' toys. (This in-turn pushing the theory about the future Retro Furby release).
I didn't want this to sound all doom-and-gloom but that's the probable reality of it... but hey, who knows.
I scoured the wiki and couldn't find any information on the 1998 Furby keychain aside from an image or two. Does anyone have information on it? I want to create a page if not but I'm helpless.
Additionally, with the picture above, I bought the two keychains so if there's any information on the tag, it'll be a help.

Managed to get this little handsome Orchid guy for $75, real cheap! (I don't know about other countries but certainly listings here in Australia start from $150 minimum). Hell I didn't even realise it was a generation 2 until I checked the wiki. So now I'm overly excited to receive him!
He'll be my first Shelby among my 7 other 90s Furbys so it'll be an interesting addition to the family! I will absolutely share pictures on the wiki when he arrives.

You'll have to see a tutorial online or something similar. If it is the problem with the speaker itself, you'll have to replace the speaker; either a similar speaker or another from Furby.
I feel your pain though! I own a half-mute Furby which was caused by a drop! All I have to do is press down on his back button and he'll speak, otherwise he is mute.
Hopefully with someone with more furb tech experience can help.
The Furby curse thumbnail still terrifies me til this day.
