Chilla Chilla is a Furby knock-off made by Trendmasters in 1998 and distributed by a company called YUJIN in Japan.

Appearance[]

They come in a variety of fur colors, and unlike Furby, Chilla Chillas do not have feet, and they have noses instead of beaks. They have ears and eye lids above their eyes, but they do not move.

Official Description[]

From the back of Chilla Chilla's box:

"A star one zillion miles from here came blazing through our atmosphere! It landed with a cheerful shout, and Chilla Chillas bounced right out! A jibber here, a jabber there, with Chilla Chillas everywhere! They bounced into the sweet arms of the kids who gave them lots of love. The children with those Chillas found that good luck followed them around! Now every time a star shoots by across the Chilla Chilla sky, it means a Chilla's on its way to bring you magic everyday!"

Functions[]

Unlike many Furby fakes, Chilla Chillas have a voice of their own. They make different sounds, and can only say a few English words. They have mechanisms inside themselves allowing them to stretch up and down.

You can also adjust their eyelids.

Other Versions of Chilla Chillas[]

Animal versions of Chilla Chillas were released in 1999, this suggests that the Chilla Chilla was a coincidence to look like a Furby.

Chilla Chilla Jr.[]

Also referred to as "チラチラJr." Not much is known about this version of Chilla Chilla. They appear to look more fluffier than a regular Chilla Chilla, but they still bear other physical features that a regular Chilla Chilla has. They were released in Japan in 1999, but it is not known if they were released overseas
