Official Furby Wiki

On October 21st, 1999, a software developer known as Inner Brain, with permission from Tomy, released a Furby desktop mascot that was exclusive to Japan. The software contained a calculator, wallpapers, calendar, and Furby "Desktop Buddies" that would interact with your computer. Due to Inner Brain going bankrupt sometime in 2000, the software is considered quite rare. The software was available on CD-ROM and it is compatible with Windows 95 and Windows 98.

  • An English language patch can be found here.
    • This is an unofficial patch — use with caution and always back up your files.

Gameplay[]

Upon starting up the program, the player must fill out a forum. Once finished, they're greeted with their 1998 Furby Desktop Buddies. The Furby Desktop Buddies do not interact with the player, and instead interact with each other. Surprisingly, the Furbys do not speak Furbish, but speak Japanese.

The calculator works as one would expect. However, there are three different Furby themed interfaces that the player can choose from. Upon completing a calculation, the player is greeted with a voice clip of a Furby. The calendar has no Furby customization, and works as expected.
