Kid Cuisine Furby is a 1998 Furby that is a special edition. Like the Kid Cuisine Talking Buddy, this Furby could be obtained by sending proofs of purchase to an address.
Appearance[]
The Kid Cuisine Furby has bright blue body fur. It has yellow stomach fur, and a mane made of red and yellow stripes. The faceplate is white. It has red feet, green ear insides, blue ear backs, and white eyelashes. The eyes came in blue and green.
Giveaway[]
Important: Due to how the transcript for the newspaper page advertising the Kid Cuisine Furby is messy, the expiry date for the giveaway is unconfirmed.
According to a newspaper by The Charlotte Observer (February 16, 2000),[1] people were required to send ten UPC symbols belonging to Kid Cuisine frozen meals, and a dated cash register receipt with the purchase price circled. Though the Kid Cuisine Furby Buddy could be obtained in another giveaway where you had to send three UPC symbols, you could order one in this giveaway by sending five UPC symbols instead. Requests were to be received before June 15, 2000 (date unconfirmed). According to the terms and conditions, only one Furby per household was allowed.
Trivia[]
- This Furby is unique for its striped mane, green ear insides, and only having blue eyes.
- The only other Furbys with striped manes are Raccoon Furby and Rainbow Furby.
- Only 500 were released,[citation needed] making this the rarest non-prototype Furby, third only to Bejeweled Furby and Rainbow Furby, with only 3 and 5 being released respectively.
