Mitchells vs the Machines is an animated movie released in April 2021 on Netflix. The plot is about a family on a road trip, who suddenly find themselves in the middle of the robot apocalypse.
In the film, there is a company who has produced "Pal", a code that corrupts whatever robot it manages to transfer to. With permission from Hasbro, they were able to show the Furby altered in this way as long as they specified that Pal is why they went rogue.[1]
