Funtime Furby handheld game, released in 2000 by Tiger Electronics and Fun Time Games, is a sky themed action game where players guide a Furby through five airborne stages, collecting hearts, dodging enemies, and confronting King Squint. The device includes physical buttons, sound effects, and a pull-string that animates Furby’s face. It runs on 2 AAA batteries.

The drawstring is mentioned as "Firdy Drawstring" and "Firby Drawstring"
The colored coating on the plastic shell is known to wear off easily over time.
The internal spring for the drawstring commonly stretches with use, causing the string to hang lower than intended.
The big Furby is the same color as the Pink Flamingo Furby, and the smaller Furby is the same color as the Sunny Yellow Furby Baby.

Gameplay[]

Players can control a Furby on the play screen, collecting Me Love You hearts, avoiding creature attacks, and jumping on creatures to raise their high score. There are 5 levels of gameplay. On the final level, players meet King Squint flying his snow car, who must be defeated to win the game. If the player has over 100 points when defeating King Squint, they will get the special ending, otherwise, the other winning ending will play.

There is a pull-string ball at the bottom of the device that moves the pink Furby's mouth and eyes. Pulling this string after each stage through 1-4 enters a bonus time to earn extra hearts.

Controls[]

Players move the Furby left and right with the pink Furby's feet buttons. When a heart is approached, press the yellow Furby's tummy button to eat the heart and raise your score. The yellow Furby's faceplate button moves your Furby character into the air to dodge obstacles or jump on creatures in the air.

The yellow Furby's ear button turns the volume off and on. Pulling the string while the device is off makes Furby laugh.

Points[]

Points are earned for collecting hearts and for jumping on creatures. A heart and time is lost for hitting any of the creatures. Points are lost for being hit by some obstacles, such as snowballs.

Hearts are worth 10 points each.

Creatures[]

Furby
Furby is controlled by the player. It is shown in black and white, but assumedly it is a Pink Flamingo Furby.

Squints
Squints want to take over Furbyland. They appear to be intelligent and technologically advanced. They drive in snowmobiles and cloud cars, and own snowball launchers. Some cloud cars have the ability to summon lightning bolts and tornadoes.

Flutter Byes and Inchyworms
Inchyworms are the larvae of Flutter Byes. Flutter Byes are butterfly-like, and will swarm the Furby. If an inchyworm is not killed, it will split into two smaller inchyworms, immediately going into the pupa stage by making cocoons. The two cocoons then hatch into Flutter Byes.

Gondras
Turtle-like creatures that will charge at Furby. They can also get nervous and will start laying eggs. Their eggs explode when thrown.

Whispy and Drippy
Whispy and Drippy are cloud creatures. Whispy is formed from the "magical clouds" of Furbyland. Drippy is formed from another cloud made from drips, and has the ability to make a large splash of water.

Tornadoes
Tornadoes are summoned by Squints in special snow cars. They have eyeballs.
