With the diminishing popularity of Furby in the 2001, Tiger Electronics stopped producing new parts and chose to create Fresh New Look Furbys, reusing Furby skins to create new color schemes. Main Article: Fresh New Look Furbys
Around 2001, the 1998 Furby also got a refresh, re-releasing the first two generations with a new orange box design and new eye colors, alongside Generation 1 receiving the Deep Sleep mode and additional phrases found on Furbys from Generation 2 and later.. Main Article: Eye Colors

The 1998 Furby's box was redesigned into a different shape and view window. (See: Packaging) The box comes in a rectangular shape.
Eye Colors[]
With the 2001 re-release, three more eye colors were introduced. These extra colors were normal in later generations.
