About Technicals Troubleshooting Manual

The Furby Connect was released on July 12, 2016.

Furby Connect's main function and what it is named for is connecting to the Furby Connect World app via Bluetooth technology. Furby could interact with things in the app and download new content from it, enabling it to sing popular songs and react to viral videos. They retailed for £99.99 (GBP) / $100.00 (USD).

Appearance[]

Furby Connects appear very different compared to the Furbys that were released before them. They are now larger, have color LCD eyes, and have separated eyes, forehead markings and beaks. Furby Connects have circular rings around their eyes, larger ears, and a smaller beak. They also have translucent feet, a tail, and an antennae that lights up in different colors when you move it.

Trivia[]

  • The Furby Connect's voice is similar to the voice of the default 2012 Furby personality.
  • Like Furbacca the Wookie Furby and unlike the 2012 Furby and the Furby Boom, they can't change personalities, although they were originally planned to be able to.
  • There were 8 planned personalities, Base, Cat, DJ, Generic, Ninja, Pirate, PopStar, and Princess. The Generic personality is believed to provide fallback files for Base, and only contains movement data and an unknown LED section. All Furby Connects use the Base personality, however, the files for the other 6 personalities are still in their NANDs.
  • Furby files also reference a DLC personality, which is empty, most likely to be downloaded from the app.
  • All the audio files in the unused personalities can be found here: https://github.com/Furby-ReConnect/Furby/blob/master/Furby-Files/Furby%20Personality%20Wavs.zip
  • Because of the complexity, Furby Connects are prone to many glitches.
  • There are over 150 different eye animations.
  • Unlike most Furbys, Furby Connects only exists in 2 languages: English and Russian.
  • They are the first Furby model to have licensed songs in their databanks.
  • This model was voiced by Gavin Hammon, who is known for voicing in Telltale's The Walking Dead. He would go onto voice the 2023 Furby.
