Furby Féves (translation from French: Furby Fava Beans) are a group of figurines that were only released in France. They are small, porcelain figures of different Furbys performing fun activities or wearing various clothing. There are 10 variants with themed accessories, and 8 variants without accessories. They are about an inch tall.
The Epiphany holiday[]
French Féves are a tradition for the Epiphany holiday, which celebrates the Three Wise Men or three kings, a biblical excerpt. Traditionally it was a fava bean that was placed inside the holiday's Gateau des Rois cake, however in the 1870s the bean was replaced with small trinkets, charms, or figures, which later became a collecting craze int he 1980s due to licensed charms. During the holiday, the trinket is to be placed inside an epiphany cake. Whoever has the trinket inside their slice of cake gets to be the King for the day.[1]
