In 2012, a branded live stage performance called Furby Live on Stage was organized by Wakazoo Group to promote the sales of the newest Furby of the time. It was produced by John Rowe, who is also credited for the audio editing and creative direction of the event.[1]

About[]

Though the event was held in 2012,[2] the location, date, and duration of the event is unknown, and can be seen as partially lost media. At the event, there were three people on stage who would dance with two people in Furby suits.[3] The people would interact with the Furbys by pretending to use a tablet to control their behavior. The two Furby suits resemble the Taboo Furby and the Pink Puff Furby.

They pretended to do things such as playing music for them, feeding them, and translating the Furbish language to English with the tablet and they would also talk to them during the show. A premade video on a large screen that was central to the stage design showed what they were pretending to do on their tablets to the Furbys. However, since there was no access to the actual 2012 Furby's app components available, the app graphics and behaviors for the video were recreated.

The animated backgrounds and images that appeared on the large screen were taken from the Furby licensing library.[4] Children could have their photos taken with the Furbys on stage.
