About[]
The Hi-C Furby is a competition prize; it is named after its exclusivity to Hi-C, a fruit drink company under a division of The Coca-Cola Company. Released in February 1999, it is one of the rarest Furby special editions, having only 5,000 ever made.
Appearance[]
This Furby has gray body fur, speckled with random black spots that vary with each Furby. It has white stomach fur, black hair and tail with Its faceplate a light gray. It has orange feet, pink ear insides, and black eyelashes.
Giveaway[]
In order to win the Furby, the contest was an instant-win giveaway if you found a winning game piece in specially marked packages of the Hi-C juice between February and April of 1999.
Trivia[]
- In 2000, the Furby was reissued for a special sweepstakes on Tiger's Furby website where only whoever was lucky enough to win would receive one. Reportedly there were only 2 made for the reissue.
- According to the manufacturing date on the bottom of the Hi-c Furby’s box Tiger Electronics started production on them in October of 1998.
- Hi-c Furbies have a special model name “70-881” that is put on the box over the normal model number with a sticker
- This Furby’s body fur is the same as the Leopard Furby.
