The Jester Furby Buddy is a Furby buddy that is a prototype special edition.
Appearance[]
The Jester Furby Buddy has yellow body fur and outer ears, It has a purple stomach, fuchsia tail and feet. The faceplate is white. it had black eyelashes and brown eye chips.
He wears a fuchsia and dark purple jester hat with yellow fabric bells, and a powdered blue checkered neck ruffle with light yellow fabric bells.
The Jester buddy is similar in coloration to the released adult Jester Furby, with a few acceptations; The yellow body and purple stomach are slightly darker. and the neck ruffle and bells are slightly lighter. He also is slightly larger than a regular buddy and appears to be hand-sewn in some areas.
Trivia[]
- It is believed that Target was presented with both the Jester buddy and an as of yet unseen prototype adult Jester, choosing the adult over the buddy. Evidence for this can be seen in the Jester buddy's tag; the date states he was produced on June 17th 1999, only 5 months before the November release of the adult.
- The tag also reads, "Second counter sample". A counter sample being a pre-production sample brought to perspective retail headquarters, where they could approve it, or request modifications. it is believed that target rejected the buddy in favor of the adult, believing that a limited run of the adults would sell better than a buddy.
