Not to be confused with Ocean Furby or Fish Furby.
Ocean Ripples Furby is an unproduced prototype 1998 Furby from Generation 10.[1] There are two versions.
Appearance[]
Version #1[]
This Furby has black and teal multicolored fur, black ears, teal feet and inner ears, a white belly, a teal faceplate, a white mane, and neon blue eyes.
Version #2[]
This Furby has black and dark turquoise multicolored fur, teal ears and feet, orange inner ears, a white belly, a cream faceplate with light brown eyelids, a white mane, and neon blue eyes. As it has no electronics, its beak is permanently open.
Trivia[]
- Both versions are owned by Alex Bickmore, the owner of toyarchive.com.[2]
- According to mimitchi.com,[3] McDonald's held a Monopoly game where you could win Furby cookies or (presumably, according to the stock photo) an Ocean Ripples Furby if you purchased a drink or food that came with a winning piece. According to the website, 1 in every 120,768 people could win the Furby (8,000 instant wins).[4]
- Version #1 contains electronics but Version #2 does not.[5]
- Most prototypes do not contain electronics because they exist mainly for color testing rather than functionality testing.
