Oogle is a fan-made name given to this unknown Furby knockoff. It's currently unknown what company manufactured it and what its actual name is.
Appearance[]
They look almost identical to an official 1998 Furby, however they have color combinations not seen in official Furbys. Their light sensors are also shaped differently, and they have smaller pupils, as well as a strange battery compartment.
There are two known versions of Oogle. One has grey fur with black spots, white hair tuft, stomach and inner ear sides. The other version has white fur, pink stomach and a faceplate identical to the other version.
Functions[]
Instead of using the Furdish program like many 1998 Furby fakes, Oogle has a unique program. Similar to the official Furbys, it can be fed and played with, and responds to tickling and being turned upside down. However, unlike the official Furbys, Oogle has the ability to play music and unique sound effects. Also, when it plays music or makes sound effects, it blinks in a loop until it finishes its action. Oogle has no IR sensor, which means he can’t communicate with other Oogle’s.
Trivia[]
- The discoverer of the fake decided to give the conjectural name "Oogle" due to the voice resembling that of an Ooglie.
- 2 x AA / LR6 Batteries are required for Ooglie, which makes it 3v compared to a Furby which is 6v.
- Oogle has a mercury switch for a tilt sensor
