The Owl Furby is the name given to a 1998 Furby from Generation 2. It was released in March, 1999.

Appearance[]

The Owl Furby has shaggy gray body fur. It lacks a separate stomach fur. It has a white hair tuft, and a white tail. Its faceplate is gray. It has white feet, pink ear insides, white ear backs, and black eyelashes.

  • This Furby is often confused with the Mink Furby.
  • This Furby is featured in the BuzzFeed video ''90s Vs. Now''.
  • This Furby had a 2001 re-release, with an orange box, an updated story on the paper tag, a purple plastic tag, and some more eye colors outside of the usual brown, blue or green, including silver, neon green, and neon blue.
  • The Owl Furby was used in an Elvis Furby prototype, where it featured black hair and clothing.
    • The body fur may also have been used in the Silky Furby prototype.
  • This Furby was officially referred to as Silver Fox (シルバーフォックス) in Japan.[1]
  • This is one of the most common Furbys of generation 2, as it is commonly shown in the commercials and it is one of the most widely distributed types on eBay.
  • Since this Furby features shaggy hair no distinguishable stomach, it slightly resembles the 2012 and/or Furby Boom variations.
