Rainbow Furby is a 1998 Furby that is a special edition. It was awarded to and designed by the winner of the 'Design a Furby' contest that was held in 2000.

About

In 2000 an American consumer cereal brand, along with Tiger ran a competition from November until August. They advertised the competition on the back of cereal boxes and these packages would come with a form, where you could color a Furby in. Only one entry per household could be sent, and only people who were 17 or younger could enter.

Appearance

The Rainbow Furby has vibrant pink body fur and a really colorful, stripped tummy or stomach fur. The Rainbow Furby has a rainbow stripped hair tuft with a colorful tail. The Rainbow Furby has a purple plastic faceplate and purple magenta eyelids. The Rainbow Furby has a pair of ruby red feet made out of fabric, rainbow stripped inner ears, pink ear backings and rainbow eyelashes. The Rainbow Furby has a yellow plastic beak with a red plastic tongue inside.

Trivia

• Only three Rainbow Furbys were ever produced. Two for the winner (One to play with and the other one to be kept sealed) and one to be archived by Hasbro.
• The Rainbow Furby, the Raccoon Furby and the Kid Cuisine Furby are the only Furbys with a stripped hair tuft and tail or mane.
• The Rainbow Furby is one of the two Furbys with an unique ear pattern, not just being a solid color. The other one is the Rainbow Prototype.
  • The Rainbow Furby is also the only Furby that multicolored eyelashes, a hair tuft and tail that have more than two colors and a purple faceplate.
