Roger Shiffman was the co-founder, CEO, and president of Tiger Electronics from 1978 to 2002. He has always been a huge fan of toys and once declared himself “the biggest toy lover in the world.”
Realizing that toys and electronics were merging, Roger Shiffman immediately saw the potential in the Furby. He picked up the Furby from Dave Hampton and Caleb Chung for commercialization, buying it and successfully marketing the product. The release of the Furby was so successful that parents were so determined to buy the toy and some rang the doorbell at the Shiffman home.
Roger Shiffman is known for helping to selling the Furby and Giga Pets. In 2005, he created the company Zizzle and released the Zizzle iZ toy.
