Santa Furby is a 1998 Furby that is a special edition. It was released in November of 1999 by accident. It was originally made to release alongside the Reindeer Furby.
Appearance[]
The Santa Furby has vibrant red body fur and white tummy / stomach fur. The Santa Furby has a white hair tuft and a white mane running down its back. The Santa Furby has a white plastic faceplate with white plastic eyelids and white eyelashes to match. The Santa Furby has a pair of black feet made out of fabric, white inner ears and white ear backings. The Santa Furby has a yellow plastic beak with a red plastic tongue inside. The Santa Furby wears a red christmas hat made out of fabric with a white pom pom at the end and a white fabric base. The hat says "Furby ®" in green but it can also appear black in other versions.

Trivia[]
- Only 500,000 of these Furbys were made.
- Aside from an English version, a Japanese, a Spanish and a German version was released.
- The intended release date of this Furby was in December of 1999, but ultimately the release happened in November instead.[1]
- Two prototype Santa furbys were sold on eBay. One of the versions has a slightly different hat with brown eyes. The other version just has brown eyes.
- On November 18th 2022, the Santa Furby prototypes sold for $500.
- There is a prototype Christmas Furby that led to Santa Furby.
- The Spanish version is missing the number on the label.
- Hallmark has released a Festive Furby Ornament that’s designed after the Santa Furby.
- The "Furby ®" text on the Santa Furby's hat is black instead of green on the German and Spanish versions.
