Not much is known about it, other than that it was an Italian knockoff sold by a company called Fratelli Restuccia.
Appearance[]
The toy is based on the McDonalds Furby toys from 1999. The toy resembles a Furby with light-up eyes that flash, a painted beak, and a tuft of fur on its head. The tongue is usually painted in a different color from the beak. The toy claims to come in six color variations, but only five have been found.[1] [2][3][4][5]
Variations[]
Known variations include:
- Green with white ears, green eyes, blue feet, and a red beak.
- White with yellow ears, blue eyes, red feet, and a red beak.
- White with yellow ears, yellow eyes, blue feet, and a green beak.
- Green with yellow ears, green eyes, white feet, and a red beak.
- Lime green with yellow ears, green eyes, white beak, and red feet.
- White with yellow ears, green eyes, yellow beak, and red feet (not confirmed, only shown on the box art.)
Functions[]
The toy moves using a bump-and-go mechanism, moving on wheels beneath itself on a surface and moving away from a wall or an object when it hits it. Its eyes light up as it moves.
Trivia[]
- The text on the box is Italian, and when translated it translates to “Battery Powered Mystery Operation.”
- Additionally the text on the top translate to “Eyes that light up intermittently,” “He walks and when he hits it he goes back,” and “Subject to batteries, working on mystery.”
