Many people are contemplating whether they want to get a Furby Connect or Hatchimal, maybe for Christmas or something. There's some pros and cons to each.

Hatchimals:

Pros:

  • Low battery consumption
  • Has wheels to "walk" around
  • Batteries Included

Cons:

  • Very overpriced (Over 125 USD!)
  • Unreliable
  • Unstable
  • Takes an absurd amount of time to hatch despite attention spans shortening to under 20 minutes with many people
  • Around 60% - 70% air (A waste of space)
  • Only takes 1 AA battery shortening runtime
  • Batteries can not be replaced without disassembling the toy
  • It's unknown which Hatchimal you will get
  • Quite cheap build quality despite the insanely high price

Furby Connect:

Pros:

  • Cheap (Around 50 USD on amazon unused)
  • Reliable
  • Durable
  • Stable
  • Takes 4 AA batteries increasing runtime
  • Batteries are extremely easy to replace
  • Easy to take fur off without damaging the toy for repairs or washing
  • Fur is washable
  • 30% - 40% Air
  • Many for sale are new in box and functional
  • Color is known when you buy it
  • Speaks 2 languages and learns native language
  • Increased interactivity
  • Makes more sense when feeding/petting/hugging it

Cons:

  • Isn't produced anaymore
  • High battery consumption

So yeah. I would definitely recommend a Furby Connect. But what do you think?

Which do you prefer?
